These Nerf / airsoft grenades are a lot of fun and very versatile. You can load them with pretty much anything you have laying around. We tend to use the tips from damaged Nerf darts as fodder for ours, but you could also use the whole dart or airsoft pellets. They were a bit on the pricey side at $40 for a set of two on amazon, but they have held up pretty well over time. The springs do loosen a bit, but there is a mechanism for tightening them back up if you hold on to the instructions as far as I remember. You can also adjust the detonator timer if you want to chance the stock detonation time. They are a lot of fun, but honestly, they are a pain to load. First you have to get together all of your grenade fodder, which is probably spread all over the floor, then you have to load it, hold down one plastic door, close a second plastic door on top of that one, repeat for a total of 3x and manually squeeze them all closed while loading, push the top and bottom closed, hold the handle down and insert the pin. Also, the pins are really, really hard to keep track of and we have had to fashion pins out of metal quite a few times due to loss of the original. All in all, they are fun and unique but I would feel better about it if they were a bit cheaper and easier to use.
